"4 Ways towards a better accessibility of markets"

Jan Cuypers, President of the Board of EVO states in the Preface... "Logistics and transport are becoming more and more important for industry and trade as a consequence of European integration, globalisation of trade and individualisation of the needs of consumers. At the same time accessibility of markets in Europe is gradually becoming more difficult (congestions, taxation, blockades). Entrance to the EU of new members will deteriorate this situation.

"Improvement and extension of transport infrastructure and liberalisation of transport modes continue to be the first instruments to improve this situation. But that will not be enough. In the light of these developments EVO has updated its view on EU transport policy and related issues in a policy paper under the title '4 Ways towards a better accessibility of markets'."

Towards a really integrated EU transport policy

A common view of shippers and transport providers of the Netherlands on EU transport policy.

Manifest on the need of liberalisation of European rail freight market

An appeal of Dutch associations in industry and trade and 40 CEOs of Dutch international companies with European distibution on national and international authorities to create the conditions for a commercial rail freight alternative in Europe.
